How to turn a kids room into a fairy tale wonderland!
One of the most effective ways to encourage creativity and imagination is giving your little one an area where your children are surrounded by creativity, innovation and unique thinking. Turning your kids room into a fairy tale wonderland doesn’t have to be an expense or take a lot of time or space. We’ve found several really great designs that we wanted to share!
1. Add a Frozen Tree (virtually free, unless you need paint)
I know that if you’re part of the “I’ve heard that song a thousand times” crowd this might not sound as fun… However, if you setup a space that’s Frozen themed, maybe you won’t have to hear the song anymore! It’ll give your little ones an area to play and enjoy for years to come!
2. Hot Air Balloon Themed Oasis
What a great way to add to a room! This themed room would be great for a little boy or girls room.
3. Add a canopy bed with a hideaway bed for sleepovers
A few hours with some wood and paint and voila!
4. Boat Themed Room
With this one you could re-purpose old boats, or build an boat body just for the room. This one really gives you a chance to get creative with nearly everything in the room, from bookshelves to laundry hampers, there doesn’t seem to be a limit to this one.
5. DIY Tinker Bell Room
What a cute Tinker Bell doll house bedroom!
6. Old West Themed Room
This wagon bed takes the cake! Storage in the caboose of the wagon is a great addition.
7. Add a Fairy Tree
Use a wall decal to help the theme along (not all of us are master wood workers). This would go great in a little girls room (color changes accepted too if you wanted to use it in a boys room).

9. Add a Princess Carriage
For the little princess in your life. Add an elegant princess carriage to any princess themed room to add a touch of personalization.
10. Cork Bear Mirror

11. Add a Castle Tree
Working on a princess or fairy themed room? Add a pop of color with a Castle Tree!
