Autumn Festival Tree Wall Decal With Do-It-Yourself Night Light

Night Light Blog

Hey everyone!

Sean here and this is video 3 in our video series of the Autumn Festival Nursery tree wall decal by Wall Decal Source.

Now if you haven’t seen video one about the tree wall decal, go ahead and go back to it, because it’s something just real quick that’s gonna tell you what we’re working with so that you have an idea with the project. Okay, so in this video I’m gonna teach you how to make this into a nightlight, to keep watching.

Alright, so for this project you will need decorative lights, kinda remind me of Chinese lanterns, and a hook. Well actually, you need more than just one hook, you need a couple these hooks but you should be already familiar with these if you’ve been watching the videos. It just comes with a couple adhesive strips to it and it’s no big deal, leaves no marks or scratches, and we just used like 4 or 5 of them so that we can determine the pattern that we want on the tree.

Alright let’s go ahead and get started.

I’ve got this all set up, ready to go, so we’re gonna plug it in and check it out. Alright, so there’s the final product, I think it came out looking awesome, this is an amazing nightlight scenario that not very many people think about. But you can just go to any kind of hobby-enthusiast store and purchase this kind of product, not very expensive, ten dollars or something. I think it turned out Awesome!

Anyway, as always if you like the decal, go ahead and go straight to the source, click the image below and it’ll take you straight there.

Autumn Festival Owl Tree Wall Decal With Do-It-Yourself Monogram

Monogram Blog

Hey everyone, Sean here.

In this video I’m going to show you how to make a nursery monogram with this owl tree wall decal, keep watching.

Okay, so what you’re going to need for this project, we’re gonna bring back this monogram frame that we already made, you can watch Kristin’s video to show you how we made this cute little thing.

Now we’re going to reuse this for this video. Outside of that we’re also gonna use the adhesive hooks so that we’re not making any marks or leaving any scratches or tears on our walls, and then we’re gonna have this banner right here, and we’re gonna be using our decal. So let’s get started.

Alright, so that’s the end of our nursery monogram with our Autumn Festival tree wall decal. I think it came out pretty nice, I mean it’s gonna have the letters hanging off the banner and it’s gonna be sitting right over the crib. So, it’s a nice addition to any nursery or any kids room, you can actually change it up and put your kids name on it. I hope you enjoyed this, of course if you liked the decal you can always go and check it out at the source.

Autumn Festival Nursery Tree Wall Decal With Do-It-Yourself Pom Pom

Pom Pom Blog

Hey everyone!

Sean here and this is video 2 in our video series for the Autumn Festival Nursery tree wall decals by Wall Decal Source.

Now, if you don’t know about the Autumn Festival Nursery tree wall decal by Wall Decal Source, go back to video one, links at the end of the post.

Now this is the first video in this series talking about the DIY projects that we’re gonna do and you’re gonna be able to make this 3D tree for less than five dollars, so stick with us because this… is gonna blow out into this…

Alright so what we’re gonna do here is we’re just gonna fan it out, and after we fan it out you’re gonna grab each individual tissue and pull it out.

Alright, let’s go ahead and throw this up. Alright so now we’re gonna get ready to put the pom-poms up onto the ceiling.

Now, a question that a lot of people have, because when you’re purchasing decals you do not want to be so invasive about putting holes in the walls or your ceiling, so what we do is we use these 3m hooks and this is going to allow you to just hook it up to the ceiling and you don’t have to worry about making any messes. Cause when it’s time to take it off all you do is pull the tab and it comes  right off.

We’re just gonna go ahead and stick it up wherever you think is appropriate. And there we go we have the first hook. Okay, so, we’re going to put up the rest of the hooks, and put the rest of the pom-poms and see what it looks like.

Alright everyone,  that concludes the end of our 3D tree, I know sad, I know, but it’s okay because we have more videos rolling through. I hope you enjoyed this tree, and if you do like this decal and want to purchase it go straight to the source.

Yep, that’s right, go ahead and click on the image below to get your decal.

Ocean Wall Decals for Nursery – Nautical Adventure: Do-It-Yourself Monogram

nautical adventure with monogram

Ocean Wall Decals for Nursery

Hi. I’m Maggie and in this video I’m gonna show you some DIY projects that are going to help you to enhance the wall decal that’s behind me.

This decal is called the Nautical Adventure and it’s found in the Ocean Wall Decals series by Wall Decal Source.

By the end of this video I’m going to take this monogram and turn it into…

ocean wall decals for nursery

this monogram.

So I hope you stay tuned.

This is part four in the Nautical Adventure series.

If you didn’t get a chance to see part 1 that’s okay, just click here to go back and watch video one.

Once you’re finished, come back and see me and we’ll get started.

Alright so let’s get started. For this project you’re going to need a few materials, so let’s talk about them.

ocean wall decals for nursery

  • First things first is our sea glass gems, these are going to be used to make the monogram really pop, so you’re gonna want to take two colors. One color is gonna be for the actual monogram itself and the other is going to be for the background.
  • The next thing you’re gonna need are two types of glue. The Krazy glue is going to be used to put the sea glass gems down and then the glue gun is going to be used to actually put these fun little  shells here too create a fish, and the fish is going to help tie in our monogram to the rest of the decal.
  • Then we’re gonna need the wall hooks so that you can put these monograms up on the wall as well as the shells that you’re going to use for your fish for this monogram.

Now if you want to find out more about how to create this monogram, look back at our storybook video with Kristen, and Kristin will show you how to get this put together. You can watch Kristen’s video here

Last thing you’re gonna need is your water to stay hydrated and your phone because what mom doesn’t always need to be contacted, plus it has a nice little turtle on it that goes with our theme. So, let’s do it.

So to begin, we’re going to take our colored sea glass gem and outline the actual letter of the monogram. So we’re going to start at one end, and just outline as we go. Once we have this outlined and we know exactly how many gems we’re going to use, then we’ll start to put the glue down.

ocean wall decals for nursery

Alright, so now I am done with my blue gems that outlined my letter and I am moving on to the clear gems and make sure that you have enough Krazy glue because mine has run out, so I’m improvising by using the glue gun which can get a little bit messy but still it does the same thing.

Now I’ve finished adding on all my sea glass gems and I’m gong to now add on the fish made out of shells. And you want to take one of your smaller shells, that will be the tail, you want to add that guy first because he’s going to go underneath the bigger one. So it’s gonna look just like this. I’m gonna take my glue gun, glue it on. Maybe I’ll use a little more glue.

And I’m going to use my gems, and my frame to glue it onto. Almost like it pops out of the frame, like a 3D effect. And then I’m going to take my larger shell, and get it glued. And last but not least, the shell on top that will act as the fin of the fish. So I’m going to give you some time, go ahead and get the rest of your monograms done, and when you get finished come back and see me and we’ll hang them up on the wall.

Okay, so now we’re going to hang our monograms.

Yellow Submarine – Ocean Wall Decals – Nautical Adventure Decal

nautical adventure ocean wall decal

Hey I’m Maggie, and in this video I’m going to introduce you to the Nautical Adventure themed decal in the Ocean Wall Decals series by Wall Decal Source.

And by the end of this video you will see one luck boy’s room turned into an ocean themed oasis, so stay tuned.

This wall decal can be found in the Ocean Wall decals section on kidswalldecalsource.com. And there’s really no mystery as to why it’s called Nautical Adventure, because I feel like I’m 20,000 leagues under the sea!

Or at least on the cover of a Beatles album. What’s the name of that song again….

[singing] ‘we all live in a hmm hmm hmm’ I don’t know. But if you do, tell us in the comments below.

Like the sub, let’s go a little deeper.

You’ll receive one whale decal, one yellow submarine,

[in unison: Yellow Submarine!]

three crabs, seven starfish, and much much more. That’s a total of 114 pieces.

You can get your Nautical adventure complete with your own Yellow Submarine by clicking here

There are many different ways you can use this decal, and with a little bit of extra money you can actually add on the option of being reusable. That way you can start the decal in your child’s nursery, move it to the bedroom as he grows, or even to a playroom.

I truly think you’ll be happy with this decal because any room you put it in will turn into an underwater sea adventure for years to come.

Since I know you love this decal, and you want to see what we have to offer, go to kidswalldecalsource.com, or click on the icon below to go straight to the source, the Wall Decal Source.

Do It Yourself Fridge Magnets

Do It Yourself Magnets

Making your own personalized Magnets, perfect for your kids art, or for leaving yourself helpful reminders on every metal surface.

I got these from a store for $4 for 3, yeah they’re pretty cool but I wouldn’t buy them again… especially now that I know how to make them myself..

20150709_134846

I found these at the dollar store on the clearance aisle, I LOVE butterflies so I couldn’t pass them up..

20150708_122102

I had a Magnetic List Pad in the car (see example below).

pl2227655-colorful_eco_friendly_magnetic_shopping_list_pad_with_opp_bag_packing

Total cost not including the Gorilla Glue: $1.07 (with Gorilla Glue $6.75)

Here’s how I did it:

1. Remove Magnet from notebook and use a paint scraper to remove the cardboard. Then cut into sizes that will fit on the clips.

2. Glue the pieces of magnets to the clips and allow to dry
